Swans Return To Area Lake February 9, 2006
For the third consecutive year, a small group of trumpeter swans have made their way back to spend some of the winter months on Bear Lake just west of Bonner Springs. Along with them is a bird not so common to this part of the world.
Two trumpeter swans raise their wings as they complete a landing on Bear Lake just west of Bonner Springs.
Davis Isabell feeds corn to a small group of trumpeter swans and Canadian geese on Bear Lake as the evening sun begins to fade just over the trees.
A trumpeter swan waits on Bear Lake along with some Canadian geese as the water reflects the evening sunset colors.
The trumpeter swans have been returning for the past three years to Bear Lake just west of Bonner Springs.
