Josephine A. Foley 1923 - 2008 Kansas City, Kan.

Mass of Christian Burial for Josephine A. (Martel) Foley, 84, Kansas City, Kan., was Friday, May 23, at Holy Angels Catholic Church, Basehor.
Mrs. Foley died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Golden Living of Kaw River, Edwardsville.
She was born Oct. 8, 1923, in Kansas City, Kan., the daughter of Alex and Mary (Ostertag) Martel.
She and her husband formed The Bob Foley Co., an electrical manufacturing representative, which they operated from 1961 until retiring in 1990.
She was known as Grandma Jo to all the Tonganoxie Grade School students with whom she volunteered to work.
Her husband, J. Robert (Bob) Foley, and an infant son, Michael F. Foley, died earlier.
Survivors include a son, John Foley, Basehor.; a daughter, Susan Maurer, Tonganoxie; two sisters, Anna M. Dobson and Dorothy L. Weller, both of Kansas City, Kan.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Foley has suggested memorials to the Tony Maurer Fund, sent in care of Citizens Savings and Loan, 15500 State Ave., Basehor, KS 66007.
