Registration deadlines are approaching for Bonner Springs parks and recreation department programs.

Indoor kickball

The Youth Indoor Kickball program, for children in grades first through sixth, can participate in co-recreational teams by grade from 6-7 p.m., Jan. 12 --Feb. 16 in the community center, 200 E. Third St.

The registration deadline is Jan. 3 and the fee is $20.

Snow sculpture

The Snowman/Snow Sculpture Contest, which will allow participants to display their artistic abilities by creating a snowman or snow sculpture, will begin Jan. 1 and end on Jan. 31. To enter, participants simply call the Community Center with their information and the location of their creation, and staff will travel there to photograph, judge and rank the creations.

Registration deadline is the last day of the contest, Jan. 31.

Scrapbooking

The scrapbooking class will teach participants to create albums in different themes, including family heritage, Christmas, baby, wedding, vacation, Mother's Day, and Father's Day. Students will need to gather pictures for their projects and bring them each night. Also offered will be digital scrapbooking, which will be explained along with traditional scrapbooking and PicFolio. Supplies will be available for sale at each of the four classes, and space is limited to 24 participants.

The classes will be 6-9 p.m. on Jan. 11, Feb. 8, March 8 and April 12.

The fee is $15 and registration deadline is Jan. 3.

Basketball leagues

Additionally, the registration deadline for adult men's basketball league, adult recreational and competitive co-recreational volleyball leagues and pilates and cross-training fitness classes have been extended to Wednesday, Jan. 3.
